Offer Builder
Your ad does not fail on the creative. It fails on the offer. The product is what you sell; the offer is how you wrap it — and the wrap decides whether the price feels big or small.
What it does
- Build in six steps
- Convert obstacles to bonuses
- Assemble the five parts
- Check it is honest
SKILL.md
--- name: offer-builder description: Turn a plain product into an irresistible offer — the five parts, the value stack, obstacle-to-bonus conversion, honest urgency, and price anchoring. Use when asked to build an offer, improve an offer, create a launch or discount offer, add bonuses or a guarantee, price a course or program, fix ads that get clicks but no sales, or someone says 'the product is good but nobody buys'. For the argument that carries the offer, see ten-angles-copy. For the words on the ad, see headline-and-primary-text. metadata: version: 1.0.0 --- # Offer builder **Your ad does not fail on the creative. It fails on the offer.** The product is what you sell; the offer is how you wrap it — and the wrap decides whether the price feels big or small. A ₹30,000 course, alone, is easy to compare and easy to refuse. The same course plus named bonuses, a guarantee, and a real deadline makes the price disappear into the stack. The buyer buys the gap. ## Before you start | Input | Why | | --- | --- | | The product and its real price | The core of the stack | | The dream outcome it delivers | Step 1 starts here, not at the product | | The persona's Roadblocks and fears | Every obstacle becomes a bonus; every fear shapes the guarantee | | What you can honestly promise and honour | The guarantee and the deadline must both be real | ## Step 1 — Build in six steps 1. **Start with the dream outcome.** Not the product — what they truly want at the end. The job, the body, the full calendar. 2. **List every obstacle** between them and that outcome. *Every obstacle is a bonus waiting to be born.* 3. **Build the stack.** Core plus a bonus for each big obstacle. Name each piece, give it a real value. 4. **Kill the risk.** The strongest honest guarantee. The more risk removed, the more they buy. 5. **Give a reason to act now.** Real scarcity or a real deadline. **Fake urgency breaks trust, so keep it true.** 6. **Price against the value.** Anchor the stacked total, then reveal the price far below it. They feel the gap and move. ## Step 2 — Convert obstacles to bonuses The secret move. Each fear, answered with a named piece of the stack: | Their obstacle | Becomes your bonus | | --- | --- | | "I do not have time" | Done-for-you templates | | "I've tried and failed before" | 1-on-1 mentor check-ins | | "What if it doesn't work for me" | The guarantee (step 4), not a bonus | Bonuses are extra value at low cost to you — named and priced individually, so the stack total is visible. ## Step 3 — Assemble the five parts Every finished offer states all five: | Part | What it is | Worked example (corpus) | | --- | --- | --- | | **The product** | What they actually get | 30-day skill program, live + recordings | | **The promise** | The outcome you stand behind | Job-ready in 30 days, with a skill that pays | | **The deal** | Price and what is packed in | Launch price, mentor access, real projects | | **Risk reversal** | The thing that removes their fear | Placement support so it is not a gamble | | **Urgency** | The honest reason to act now | Limited seats per batch, enrollment closes soon | Optional stack elements when they fit: payment terms (EMI, pay-in-three) to make the price easy to swallow. ## Step 4 — Check it is honest - The deadline is real — it actually closes. - The scarcity is real — seats are actually limited. - The guarantee will actually be honoured, in writing. - Every bonus value is defensible, not invented to inflate the anchor. ## Output ``` # Offer: <product> Dream outcome: <what they truly want> ## The stack | Piece | Answers which obstacle | Value | | Core: <product> | — | ₹<real price> | | Bonus 1: <named> | "<their words>" | ₹<defensible> | | ... | Stack total | | ₹<anchor> | ## The five parts Product / Promise / Deal / Risk reversal / Urgency — one line each Price: ₹<price> (gap vs anchor: ₹<difference>) Honesty check: deadline real? scarcity real? guarantee honoured how? ``` ## When it breaks | What you see | What it means | The fix | | --- | --- | --- | | Clicks but no sales | The ad works; the offer fails | Rebuild the stack before touching the creative | | "It's too expensive" objections | Price compared to nothing | Anchor the stacked value first, then reveal price | | Urgency ignored | Buyers have seen the deadline move | Only real deadlines; a moved deadline breaks all future ones | | Bonuses feel like padding | Not born from obstacles | Each bonus answers one named fear from the persona | | Guarantee scares the operator | Promised more than can be honoured | Scale it to what is honestly deliverable — honest and small beats big and false | | Stack total looks inflated | Invented bonus values | Every value defensible or the anchor collapses on inspection | | Offer converts once, refunds spike | The promise oversold the outcome | Promise what the median buyer achieves, not the best case | Never fix a weak offer with a bigger discount. Discounting a plain product makes it a cheaper plain product; the stack is what changes the comparison. ## Rules - **Fake urgency breaks trust, so keep it true** — one moved deadline invalidates every future deadline with that audience. - **Every bonus answers a named obstacle**, because unattached bonuses read as padding and cheapen the stack. - **The guarantee must be honourable in writing**, because a refused guarantee is the most expensive marketing you will ever run. - **Anchor before price**, because a price with no comparison is compared to zero. - **Promise the median outcome, not the best case**, because refunds and reputation are priced into the offer whether you plan them or not. ## Related skills - **ten-angles-copy** — the angle gets attention; this offer closes. Pair them. - **pqr-persona-builder** — the Roadblocks that become bonuses come from there. - **headline-and-primary-text** — putting the offer into ad words. - **meta-awareness-planner** — whether the campaign carrying this offer should run.
